The Subscapularis muscle originates from the subscapular fossa. Its fibers converge laterally to be inserted on the lesser tubercle of humerus. Subscapularis is supplied by the upper and lower subscapular nerves.
The teres major muscle originates from the posterior aspect of the inferior angle of the scapula. Its insertion is on the medial lip of the intertubercular suclus, and is supplied by the lower subscapular nerve.
The suprapinatus muscle originates from the supraspinous fossa and its slender tendon inserts on the greater tubercle of humerus.
The infraspinatus muscle originates from the infraspinous fossa. Its insertion is on the greater tubercle of humerus just inferior to the insertion of supraspinatus.
These two muscles are supplied by the suprascapular nerve.
The teres minor muscle originates from the lateral border of scapula. Its insertion is on the greater tubercle of humerus just inferior to the insertion of the infraspinatus.

Knowing the anatomy of your muscles and bones, as well as the various functions of your shoulders, can help you train and grow your shoulders more effectively. It can also help you keep them healthy and mobile. I’m going to help you build a better, stronger, healthier set of shoulders.

t’s great to have aesthetic shoulders, but if you injure these guys, you’re in big trouble. You can’t train your chest, back, or arms—heck, even leg training can be a chore if your shoulders are hurt. It’s important to train your shoulders for strength, physique, and health.

Take the time to warm up before you go through the workouts. If your shoulder muscles are weak, go lighter and do the exercises correctly. You’ll get more out of the exercise that way.

The glenohumeral joint allows a wide range of movement of the upper limb. It is associated with the shoulder girdle. If we compare the shoulder joint to the hip joint, the shoulder joint is built for mobility and is therefore less stable than the hip joint. The shoulder joint is, therefore, prone to injury. The main structures that keep the humerus and scapula in place are the ligaments and muscles that surround the joint.

On this video, we will cover the anatomy of the shoulder joint. We will go over all the relevant structures using english and latin terminologies.
